In Judges 6:1-40, the Israelites fall into idolatry and are oppressed by the Midianites for seven years, causing great hardship; God sends a prophet to rebuke them for their disobedience, then appears to Gideon, a seemingly insignificant man, and commissions him to deliver Israel. God is with us, and wants to use us in our generation. The sermon asks us to let God hold our hands and make us courageous.
