Welcome! We're glad you're here!
Arbor Heights Community Church

Visiting a church for the first time can be an awkward and indimidating experience. Here's what to know about your first experience with us.

SERVICE TIME

We gather as a church on Sundays at 10:00 am.

PARKING

We meet in a residential neighborhood and want to be a blessing to our neighbors. If you can’t find a spot in our church parking lot, please park in an available spot on the street, but be thoughtful of neighbor driveways. If you require easy access to our facility, feel free to utilize our handicap-accessible parking spots in front of the church building.

OUR SUNDAY GATHERING

Our service begins at 10:00 am. We’ll sing 3-4 songs together – a mix of modernized hymns, contemporary songs and well known songs. Next, we either have someone share a story of how God has been working in their life or a ministry highlight. We then preach a relevant and engaging sermon from the Bible.

DRESS COMFORTABLY

Feel free to wear what is comfortable for you. Whether a dress or a suit or jeans and a t-shirt, you are welcome.

SKEPTICS WELCOME

AHCC is a safe place wherever you’re at in your journey with Jesus. Whether a skeptic, considering God or returning back to the church, we welcome your doubts and questions.

GETTING CONNECTED

Once you’ve had a chance to “kick the tires”, and find out more about AHCC, we invite you to get connected. The two primary ways we do this is through joining a community group and volunteering in a ministry. Our community groups are gatherings of 5-15 people who meet during the week in a home for a meal, building relationships and learning how to follow Jesus.

Volunteering in a ministry is also a great way to meet people, build friendships and use your gifts and talents. Check out our groups and volunteer opportunities at the Connect Desk in the church lobby.

INFANTS & CHILDREN

We have both a nursery and children’s ministries for infants up to 5th grade. For kids age kindergarten through 5th grade, our children’s ministry includes games, a biblical lesson and fun. The children start with everyone in corporate worship. Prior to the message, they're dismissed to class which is held in the lower level of the church. The children are returned to corporate worship during the final songs.

TEACHERS

All Children’s Ministry volunteers have passed background checks and are supported by our security team.

STUDENT CURRICULUM

Our Children’s Ministry teaching is age-appropriate and covers a full range of topics from the entire Bible. We use Grow curriculum, an annual program that partners the church and home to help kids grow and mature in their walk with Jesus.

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

Our middle and high school Sunday program is called “Grapple” and teaches students a biblical lesson and how to apply it to their lives. The students meet during the sermon.

CHURCH DISTINCTIVES

As you get familiar with who we are as a church, there are some distinctives that define our mission and vision.

BIBLICAL BELIEFS AND TEACHING

We strongly believe the Bible is God’s Word and is meant first to show us who God is, and secondly, how human beings are designed to flourish. Our commitment to teach the truth of the Bible is unwavering.

LIFESTYLES OF EVANGELISM

We want everyone at AHCC to be equipped to share their faith in both word and deed with the people God has placed around them. We use the 5 BLESS missional practices to help us.

MOBILIZED TO SERVE

We value providing opportunities to display Christ to our community by meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

PREACHING STYLE

AHCC preaches messages that focus on Jesus and are accessible and relevant for every person of every age at every step of their walk with Christ. Our style seeks to equip you to navigate and influence a post-Christian culture.

CULTURE OF DISCIPLESHIP

A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who lives in biblical community and is committed to becoming more like Him through obeying, serving and sharing Jesus. Our desire is that each AHCC member would become a disciple who makes other disciples.
